Goodwins Analysis

The music video is performance based, rather than a narrative or concept based music video.

There is a relationship between the lyrics and the visual as they have used text words over the performance within the video in time to the words being said by the lyricist. For example, "La La La" is shown on screen in sync with the words being mimed by the performer in the music video.

We believe the genre of this music video is alternative/rock. The genre is portrayed in the video by the fact that it is performance based, which most rock videos are and this therefore fits within the genre characteristics. There is also a specific style of person that is associated with the genre rock, and this is someone who has black long hair and wears indifferent clothes such as black leathers and vests. This is common in this music video because one of the performers within the video fits the characteristics of the style that most rock music videos aim to portray.
